Racing For The Rohingya
Philip Tryon is an American with a mission – do something to support the more than 900,000 displaced Rohingya women, men and children. Philip is an athlete competing in Tough Mudder and Iron Man races, and has challenged himself to support these refugees in Rohingya through peer-to-peer fundraising, engaging his friends, family and co-workers in his quest to help.
What spurred Philip to action?
“I began hearing daily reports of violence against the Rohingya people,” Philip explained. “I came across a series of disturbing images of a young mother and father grieving the recent loss of their baby boy. I saw my own family reflected in these images. The child looked like my daughter, and the boy was even positioned similarly to how my son peacefully slept in his crib not long ago.”
